The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize the upcoming bout.
Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the customary face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly happening.
